Dr. Joel Salter
Joel started his education with a bachelor degree in computer science, specializing in the field of Computer Information and Technology. He then transitioned into medicine by graduating with Clinical Honors from the University of Western States with a Doctorate of Chiropractic medicine.
After a few years in practice he decided he should return to school to get his education as a Registered Nurse and then as a Nurse Practitioner. The additional education would give him the tools needed to help individuals with their health choices.
After completing his nursing degree in 2011, he accept a position as a registered nurse on a Orthopedic/Neurologic unit at Mercy Gilbert Hospital, where he was able to learn more about surgical procedure on joints and the spine and how to deal with patients pain. Upon completing his Nurse Practitioner Family Medicine certification in 2013 Joel transitioned back into private practice working as a nurse practitioner in a multidisciplinary pain management, which included physical therapy, chiropractic, medical and interventional pain procedures. Joel’s main focus is dealing with joint, tendon and muscle injections, ordering diagnostic procedures and pain medications. After years in pain management Joel decided to join Mckellips Internal Medicine and Men’s Vitality Center to treat all aspects of the person’s health as a family practitioner.
